Poochie POWER

I strangely enough found these after a discussion with my boyfriend about dying our dogs coats! This was totally his idea, he has a dog with white fur that sheds like no other, white fur everywhere. My dogs have black and brown fur and I hardly ever see their hair all over my clothes! Well after seeing these pooches I didn't feel so bad about the thought of dyeing the dogs but can you imagine the effects of these dogs shedding on your furniture? They obviously must have personal groomers...

Quiet a mouthful wouldn't you say? Well let's get a little more into detail. Ladies and Gents you're going to have to mark-off Friday. February 20th as a day for style, art, and charity. Boutiques such as Topstitch, Lost & Found and Vagabond will be showcasing a fashion show of this season's styles.Designers and representatives from these boutiques featured in the show will also be on hand for discussion and sales of emerging new spring trends.

Philadelphia regional artists, members of Space 1026, and the Padlocks are all scheduled to unveil new and original artwork at the event, which will hang for the duration of February. All artwork will be available for sale with partial proceeds benefiting the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

All pieces in the fashion show will be for sale with proceeds going towards the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Additional accessories and one of a kind pieces will be raffled off through out the night for charity.Pre paid tickets for $20 or $30 day of, for Heart to Heart go on sale Friday, Feb 13th at the 2nd year Anniversary party of Topstitch located at 311 Market. I Heart Nagi Noda

Being overwhelmed with the Holidays and New Years we had to find an escape route from all the madness. Finding something beautiful and eccentric was on a pallet and with much diligence and Google. We wondered unto Nagi Noda, the hairstylist to beat all hairstylist, artist to beat all artist, the girl who took my mother's old weaves and actually made them less irritating. I kid.But on a more serious note let's just all stare in wonder at the creations that even sparked Mr. West's interest.

The space made for one of the most amazing environments that I have ever worked in. Every inch of the room makes for an incredible photo op. It was hard to choose what areas to focus on but hopefully these pictures will wet your whistle...

Above is Suzannah riding Sky's silver leafed hoarse. And below she is sitting with leeloo on the fabulous patent leather couch, that needs to live in Topstitch. The couch frame was restored and painted by Sky. I wish you could see the peg leg pirate. Kevin designed the upholstery job, Emily and I did the curtains and pillows. She also made the little rug that leeloo is posing on.

I came into work today dripping from the monsoon outside but luckily Tina brought out the sunshine by introducing me to TAVI, our new leisure time obsession. Not only does this kid trump any other 12 year old, but most "adults" as well. Parents and future offspring carriers please be advised to let your child's imagination flow because if one is lucky enough you'll spawn a kid just ask charming, innovative, and better then the others.

It's black, it's white, it's MONA

Much ado with Linda Smyth. Not only is she one of the owners of Topstitch. co-owner of Rabbid Fox, and all around inspiration, she's a do-gooder as well. Teaming up with PSPCA's DogHaus and 19 other artist, Linda Smyth along with 6 other fabulous designers that work as a team called MONA transformed one of the many rooms into a decadent bungalow fit for any human counterparts. This is the first project for the new interior design all stars on the block of American street in north Philadelphia. The whole room came together in many different ways, the idea was to put a jekkel/hyde twist on a victorian inspired billiard room.
